NBA DFS Point Guard Picks
Stud
James Harden It continues to make its mediocre campaign in 2021-22 feel like luck. He was phenomenal for the 76ers to start the season, averaging 26.8 points, 9.8 assists and 8.5 rebounds in their first four games. Those are the numbers we’ve come to expect from the former MVP, who fought the 76ers in 21 regular season games last season.
Add them all up and Harden averaged 1.61 DraftKings per minute to start the season. This is Wednesday’s highest score among all quarterbacks and second place overall. Harden is also carrying one of the biggest workloads in basketball to start the season, finishing at least 40 minutes in two of his last three games.
The 76ers are having a tough game against the Raptors on Wednesday, but it’s too cheap if Harden is to continue producing at this level. Historically, Harden has averaged +4.46 with a comparable salary as a member of the Rockets (according to the Trends tool).
Value
Tre Jones He got off to an excellent start for the Spurs. There’s an average of 1.05 DraftKings points per minute, and there’s no reason to expect any downgrades going forward. He averaged 1.03 DraftKings points per minute in eight games last year without Dejounte Murray and Derrick White, and he’s still 22. If anything, I expected him to be better in his third pro season.
The Spurs will likely lack Devin Vassell on Wednesday. It is currently listed as suspect and ranks second on the roster with 24.0% usage this season. Jones played only 24 minutes off-court with Vassell in 2022-23, but in this example he increased his production to 1.32 DraftKings per minute.

Hornets listed Terry Rozier and Cody Martin as suspects, so Dennis Smith Jr. Must act as the team’s starting quarterback. He played 34 minutes in this role on Sunday. Smith has always been an elite producer per minute, averaging 1.26 FanDuel points this season.
Jrue Holiday He stands out as one of the best values in the position at FanDuel, where his $7,800 salary comes with a 92% Bargain Rating. He competed in the first match of the year, but came back with a FanDuel score of 47.0 in his final match. Holiday increased usage rate by 6.9% last year in games without Khris Middleton and is in a great spot against the Nets.
NBA DFS Shooting Guard Picks

I’m buying Tyler Hero Explosion in Miami. He made his way into the starting lineup this season after winning the Sixth Man of the Year award, and it’s done wonders for his fantasy stockpile. He holds a career record in points per game, but the biggest difference has been his work on the glass. Herro averaged 8.8 rebounds in his first four games and his previous career record of just 5.0.
With that in mind, it’s no surprise that Herro has increased his production this season to 1.21 DraftKings per minute. The combination of an increased role and increased fantasy production has yet to be fully reflected in the price tag, so it remains an excellent value. He leads the position with 10 Pro Trends at DraftKings.
Value
Josh Richardson Another excellent value option for Spurs. Richardson has struggled to find his place, bouncing between the 76ers, Mavericks and Celtics for the past few years. However, it’s unlocked in San Antonio. He was so excited to start the season, he shot 50.0% from the field and 47.4% from 3-pointers. It may need to set back a bit in the future, but it’s possible that the Spurs simply brought out the best in them. Regardless, he’s averaged 0.87 DraftKings per minute so far this season and has played around 30 minutes in our NBA Models.
Tremendous value at DraftKings, where his $3,900 salary comes with a Bargain Rating of 88%.

jalen green continues to stand out in the fantasy industry as low-priced. He posted a positive Plus/Minus in all four games and increased his production to 0.99 FanDuel points per minute. However, his salary has hardly changed at FanDuel, so expect him to once again carry substantial ownership.
Harden is the top bodyguard in DraftKings, but not so clear in FanDuel. Kyrie Irving there is also a claim that his $8,800 salary came with a Bargain Score of 89%. Irving can explode in any matchup, as he did against the Grizzlies on Monday. He amassed 63.1 FanDuel points in 38.7 minutes and played at least that much in back-to-back games. It is estimated at over 37 minutes on Wednesday, which is currently the third highest score on FanDuel.
NBA DFS Junior Forward Selections
Stud
LeBron James it just won’t stop. The man has already played more minutes than any other player in NBA history and is in his 20th professional season. That didn’t stop him from putting up monster numbers in his first three games, averaging 27.3 points, 11.0 rebounds and 7.3 assists per game.
Russell Westbrook is also a suspect on Wednesday, which could cause James to shoulder a larger-than-usual workload. Westbrook is clearly not the player he is in his best period, but he still has 22.3% usage rate, 22.8% assist rate and 11.8% rebound rate this year. LeBron could see hits in all three areas and has already averaged 1.55 DraftKings per minute this season. He leads the position with 10 Professional Trends at DraftKings, where his $9,900 salary comes with a 91% Bargain Rating.
Value
stick with the Lakers, Troy Brown It is a near-minimal possible value option across the industry. The Lakers’ last game is 22.2 minutes behind, and today’s roster predicts around 26 minutes. Brown isn’t the top producer per minute, but for someone with such a cheap price tag, that’s quite a lot of playtime. In the past, players with comparable salaries and minute estimates averaged +2.90 Plus/Minus.

I will continue to burn Lauri Markkanen Just $6,500 at DraftKings. His salary comes in at 88% Bargaining Ratings, averaging 1.15 DraftKings per minute this season. He performs poorly in his last game, but finished with at least 51.75 DraftKings points in his previous two games. Ownership may also drop a bit after this stack, so this is a nice low buy point.
Anthony Edwards It has not yet erupted in its third year, but it may come. He has at least 30 points in two of his last three matches and is one of the best pure values on FanDuel. The Spurs are in second place to start the year, and the Timberwolves’ implied team total is 121.75, the highest score on the list.
NBA DFS Power Forward Selections

to pay for Giannis Antetokounmpo it’s almost always a good idea. He has only played in two games this season, but is as dominant as ever, averaging 1.93 DraftKings per minute. In his last game, he completely emptied the Rockets, shooting 17-21 from the field and scoring 64.0 points against the DraftKings in 27.6 minutes.
Giannis is in a great spot on Wednesday against the Nets, who have been nothing but a disaster defensively this season. They are last in defensive efficiency and the Bucks are currently implied for 118.0 points. The Nets also have the ability to score points on the board, so the Bucks will be pushed for the full 48 minutes. This is an attractive combination.
Value
You may be tired of reading about Spurs, and frankly, I’m tired of writing about them. However, they remain one of the most valuable DFS teams in the league.
keldon johnson He’s been the driving leader for the Spurs this season and is on the verge of becoming a star. He’s averaged 20.5 points, 6.3 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game this season and is a big reason why the team is currently 3-1. Overall, he has averaged 1.20 DraftKings per minute this season and a minimum of 31.75 DraftKings in all four games.
He’s only played 42 minutes without Vassell this season, but initial results are promising. Vassell increased his off-pitch usage rate to 31.0% and increased fantasy production to 1.38 DKFP per minute. It’s hard to beat such numbers at just $6,800.

The Jazz are another team that adds a lot of value to start the season, especially on the frontcourt. This includes Jar Vanderbilt. Vanderbilt has started all four games and is incredibly prolific on game time. He averages 1.21 DraftKings points per minute and has a minimum of 32.0 DraftKings in three games in a row.
Ben Simmons He’s still adapting to playing basketball instead of dressing like a Skittle on the sidelines. He averages just 0.81 FanDuel points per minute this season, but has been much better in that department in the past. It’s worth considering as a low buy option on FanDuel, where his $6,000 salary comes with a Bargain Rating of 89%.
NBA DFS Center Picks
Stud
Pascal Siakam He’s down against the 76ers on Wednesday, but he’s already proven that he can do well in tough spots this season. They have back-to-back games with a minimum of 49.75 DraftKings against the Heat, which ranked fifth in defensive efficiency and 29th in tempo last year.
Siakam took another step forward in 2022-23. This season he has increased his production to 1.42 DraftKings per minute, which represents a huge increase from last year’s average of 1.18. He also continues to play around 40 minutes per game for head coach Nick Nurse, who has no respect for his player’s long-term outlook.
Value
Kelly Olynyk Another option in the Jazz’s frontcourt. Olynyk hasn’t been as good as Vanderbilt this season – averaging 0.98 DraftKings per minute – but historically he’s been much better in that department. He averaged 1.10 DraftKings per minute last year so he could improve his advancement potential. Olynyk is getting consistent minutes this season as well and should see around 30 if this game stays competitive.

Joel Embiid He owns 13 Pro Trends on FanDuel and tied Siakam to the top of the list. However, Siakam has 11% Bargain Rating on FanDuel while Embiid has 85%. There’s only $600 difference between the two players, and Embiid has historically been a much better fantasy maker. It hasn’t consistently reached these heights this year, but that should keep its ownership in the GPPs reasonable.
Jacob Poeltl It was a great success for the year, posting an average of +5.51 Plus/Minus in its first four matches. He has always been an excellent producer per minute and takes consistent minutes to start the year. He’s hitting a season-high 30.5 minutes in his last game, and the Spurs will likely need his size against the Timberwolves on Wednesday.
